The Curated Traveler: North Carolina

Last week, my husband had a business trip to Ireland. He travels a lot for work but this was his first business trip that would take him out the U.S. (besides our transfer to Zurich). He’s also normally home for weekends which gives me a chance to recover from a week of taking care of a very energetic two year old by myself. But his trip was taking him out of the country for two weekends in a row and now that I’m in my third trimester, the thought of 9 days alone in Atlanta terrified me. So Ella and I packed our bags and went to stay with Matthew’s parents in North Carolina. I don’t know how many other people could stay alone with their in-laws but I’m so grateful to have such a great relationship with them. It was a great 9 days in a place I really love. And though Matthew got to explore a new country, I honestly feel like I got the better end of the deal.
