tck life // sunday best

I’ll be honest, my head is still a little bit in vacation mode. I did manage to stay on top of my scripture study and thought I’d share my favorite verses from the week, found in the ninth chapter of John:

And his disciples asked him, saying, Master, who did sin, this man, or his parents, that he was born blind?

Jesus answered, Neither hath this man sinned, nor his parents: but that the works of God should be made manifest in him.

Trials always seem like punishments. And sure, sometimes they come just as natural consequences to our actions. But what’s more common is that our wounds are openings for God’s light to shine through and His miracles to enter our lives. I have a closer relationship with God, a better understanding of Him and myself because of the difficult things I’ve had to experience. And it’s a good reminder to me that my pain isn’t a punishment to be suffered. It’s knowledge to be gained.

Happy Sunday, everybody.
