Can you believe we’re already halfway through 2019?! Alright well the actual halfway point is somewhere between July 1st and 2nd but June is the sixth month of the year so it still counts. And I thought it would be a good time to remember and recommit to our resolutions.
If you remember, back in January I made a Resolutions Board to help me stay on track with the plans and promises I made to myself. And I have to say it’s really helped! My resolutions, instead of meandering to the back of my mind and collecting dust, have been motivating forces for me as I try to change. My spiritual goals are probably doing the best and my forever resolutions to become fluent in French and cook more are still at the bottom of the totem pole. But I’ve cooked a few more dinners than I did last year and I’ve downloaded a language app– I just don’t use it as much as I should. But being able to see these small steps of progress give me hope for the next six months.
But hope is much more powerful when you have a plan behind it so here’s my plan (you can join me!):
You might even want to set new resolutions for the second half of the year; I say go for it! There were a lot of things I wasn’t thinking about when I set my resolutions back in January. For one thing, we moved and a lot of my time has shifted to managing that transition and setting goals for our future in a new place. Circumstances and priorities can shift but creating the life you want should always be at the top of the list. The year is half over and it’s as good a time as any to begin.
