We are so close to Fall! Tights and boots, sweaters and scarves– what’s not to love?! And our wardrobes aren’t the only ones getting a makeover. Fall home decor is so fun and festive and easy to incorporate. And there’s so much variety; you don’t have to love orange or Halloween to get in the Fall spirit and put your own spin on it.

If you don’t love the warmer colors associated with Fall, like reds and oranges, you can easily keep to a neutral color palette with white pumpkins and pottery, gingham and burlap pillows and throws, and gold accents.

You can also do classic Fall accessories in whatever colors you do like. For Ella’s room, I put up decor that matches the pink and peach tones of her room.

Last year I painted Dollar Store pumpkins in pastels for Ella’s birthday and kept them out as my Fall decor.

This year, I did a sort of rainbow/ombre shelf because I couldn’t stop getting pumpkins of different colors (shame on you, Target Dollar Section).

This was really fun because I got to shop my own home (favorite term from my interior designer friend Megan) and use more colorful decor than I normally do, without it looking out of place.

The pink shelf is my favorite (duh). I love the dried roses and all the different shades.

I also think that with the right styling, you can repurpose Christmas decorations. Bottlebrush trees, for example, are so fun to pair with pumpkins. Christmas garlands are also a great backdrop.

And if you have farmhouse/rustic decor, it is even easier to notch it up a bit for a more obviously festive look. Just pumpkins, garlands, and candles are enough to get that warm Fall effect.

This is just the beginning of making my home more Fall-friendly but there are so many different ways and areas you can add Fall touches.

I love Fall! It’s the my favorite time of the year and the beginning of months of celebrations and holidays. Just remember if you want to bring more of this season to your decor, it’s really simple and you can tailor it to your style and your personality. Everyone has their own curated life and this is what mine looks like; hopefully you feel inspired to make your own!
