It’s birthday week! And birthday party week! We’re all very excited!
And if you can’t tell by the amount of exclamation points, we’re all a little frantic and frenzied too.
I love planning these parties but the only way I know how to do it is to throw myself completely into them. That means I usually love the result but getting there is a mix of joy and pain and you never know which one you’re going to feel at any given moment. I’m making throwing TCK parties sound really fun, huh?
Well, let’s get to the main event, shall we?
The theme for Ella’s 5 birthday party is…
The Nutcracker Ballet!
This has been in the works for a very long time (head over to TCK’s Instagram— I’ll be sharing a two year old screenshot from my Notes app coming up with this idea) and I have loved the Nutcracker ballet since I was a kid. I was actually one of the polichinelles that come out from under Mother Ginger’s dress when I did ballet a million years ago. And I’ve passed that love on to Ella; she’s been talking about having a Nutcracker ballet party since we were planning her birthday last year. And she and I watch Waltz of the Flowers almost every day. Seriously. We are obsessed. And we have been working really hard to bring the magic and movement of the ballet to this very special party.
Can’t wait to celebrate & share it all.
