When the start of kindergarten and your 3rd baby’s due date are within just a couple weeks of each other, back to school baskets end up being a little late!
Ella started kindergarten two weeks ago and even though it’s distance learning, she loves it and has taken to it really well. We seriously could not be prouder of her and I was delighted to put this little basket of surprises together for her.
Like last year, I’ve been setting things aside for her all summer, mixing things I knew she would love and things that would be useful for school. I just want her to feel special about being a kindergartener, even though this milestone looks different than we’d planned.
Here’s a closer look at what I curated:
The cherry on top for me is this DIY acrylic schedule (a step-by-step guide is coming your way soon!) I made for her.
So far, Ella’s favorites have been the magnetic dress up set, the girl power figurine, the Harriet Tubman book, and the “My Book of Stories.” I like to have a good mix of things to play with, learn from, and inspire creativity and I hope this basket reflects that.
Here’s to the start of another week of school!
