One of my favorite things to do for Ella’s birthday is a special birthday photo session. I love tracking her growth and having a beautiful, styled photo to commemorate the occasion.
These photos are extra special to me this year because she’s wearing the same outfit I wore for our newborn photo shoot with Caroline.
I do these photos every year and I’m no professional but I have a few tipsfor making the most out of these birthday photo sessions.
Her room is my favorite backdrop and I love this tradition of using her birthday balloons as part of the photos.
I try to have the photos not be super stiff or posed. I like capturing her playing and just having fun being herself.
I also loved her dress she wore during her birthday party so we did a mini photo session with that as well. You can never have too many photos, that’s my motto.
I can’t believe I have a 6 year old! She’s growing up so fast and beautifully and I have the pictures to prove it. Love her.
