We have had the best time celebrating Ella’s 8th birthday this month! Our final celebration was last weekend when we threw her a spooky surprise party! If you’re needing Halloween party ideas, I have everything linked below so keep scrolling!
When tackling a party, here are the 4 main things to tackle: activity, craft, decor, and dessert. I made Halloween the theme for the party so that I could be decorating the house without Ella getting suspicious. The bulk of the party was outside but I still wanted the inside to feel magical and fun. And who doesn’t love ombre?!

For the decorations outside, I used my favorite party supplies from Ellie and Piper Co in my color palette and a few DIY signs. That’s how I snuck in the name of the party, “I Put a SpElla on You.”

I knew we would be super busy this year so I teamed up with Luxe Bounce to take care of the activity. They have the most whimsical bounce houses in a range of colors and sizes so that you can have a curated and whimsical party experience but save yourself a lot of the work. They set it up in minutes and came back at the end of the party to pick it up. I was also surprised how easy it was to attach the balloon garland. It was a huge hit with the kids (and their parents!) and the Black Magic bounce house was perfect for our spooky afternoon.

For the craft, we painted mini pumpkins and made necklaces from my friend Beth at Quinn and James Co. She has a Christmas version available in her shop now!
For dessert, we made s’mores and I made this Halloween treat board. Shop it all below!
This was my first time planning a surprise party and even though it was fast and furious, it was still such a magical event! Ella was shocked and I could tell she felt so special. And she could believe her eyes when she saw the bounce house outside; such a fun addition to our curated party!
